• Stack your firewood as soon as possible.

  • Avoid stacking wood contact with the ground.

  • Cover the top of the stack, leaving sides open for circulation.

  • Store a week’s supply of wood in a heated area in your home. 

  • Refill as needed and you’ll have burnable wood regardless of weather.

  • Even with the best firewood, proper techniques are essential.  Ignite a few pieces of kindling using crumpled newspaper.  When kindling is burning well, add several pieces of firewood.  When a bed of embers has been created and is burning well, add full sized firewood.
